Place, BluebirdManages: Family Case Managers, Housing Manager,
Resident AdvocatesPosition Summary: Responsible for the overall
programmatic operations of Sally's House-Supportive Living Program,
and Bluebird Apartments and support staff (Case Managers and
Resident Advocates). Monitors, evaluates, and provides supervision
for all counseling, case management and support services provided
to clients who enter any of the housing programs; supervises all
aspects of service provision to housing clients including day to
day assistance and advocacy.Key Responsibilities:
- Provides day to day supervision and management of the two
housing programs and related support staff; monitors and evaluates
the effectiveness of client case management and advocacy
services.
- Assures overall compliance for programming and ensures
compliance with state and funder standards and policy and
procedures implementation. Submits timely and accurate quantitative
and qualitative reports and evaluations.
- Plans, develops, coordinates, implements, and evaluates housing
services based on client population.
- Manages and monitors budgets to ensure programmatic and grant
compliance.
- Facilitates weekly individual supervision and team meetings
with staff and monitors the effectiveness of services being
provided; monitors program census.
- Collaborates with other Residential Program Directors and
residential family case managers regarding client entry into each
of the housing programs.
- Provides on-call coverage.
- Ensures staff maintains accurate, up-to-date documentation on
all clients, including but not limited to, case plans, case notes,
etc.
- Encourages staff development and education; provides ongoing
training to all program staff on the issues of domestic violence
and monitors on a regular basis to ensure staff maintains
professional knowledge.
- Interviews and screens potential staff for open positions;
administers employee evaluations; provides coaching and performance
feedback to members of the residential services team; works with
Senior Director of Residential Services and Senior Director of
Human Resources addressing employee relations issues, disciplinary
notices, performance improvement plans, etc.
- Assists in the development and monitoring of program budget;
ensures compliance with agency's purchasing/procurement
policies.
- Assists in the writing and development of grants, foundation
requests and identified funding opportunities to support Supportive
Living and Bluebird Apartments programming.
- Works with Finance to ensure adherence to governmental funding
and requirements as related to Rapid Rehousing program.
- Maintains a climate that attracts, keeps, and motivates a
diverse staff of top-quality people.
- Represents The Family Place in community meetings as
needed.
- Attends and participates in all mandatory agency functions
including but not limited to The Family Place annual staff meeting,
new board orientation and volunteer training.Other Duties:

assigned.QualificationsRequirements:
- Master's Degree in Social Work or similar degree.
- 3-5 years of experience in direct services to victims of
domestic violence or similar human services program.
- Two years of supervisory experience, preferred but not
required.Licenses and Certifications: Valid Texas Driver's License
and clear driving record.Knowledge and Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of domestic violence/sexual assault related issues
from an empowerment philosophy, and the effects of trauma on
survivor's thoughts and behaviors.
- Knowledge and expert skill in developing and implementing
methods for measuring effectiveness of social work practice and
services in the specialty area, utilizing program evaluation tools
to improve the quality of services. Ability to make recommendations
for modifying client case plans based on client feedback and
satisfaction surveys.
- Ability to write policies, procedures, and/or practice
guidelines pertaining to program guidelines.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and
communication skills (written and oral) are required.
- Ability to build strong teams to meet performance goals.
- Ability to work effectively with clients and staff from diverse
racial, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Ability to plan, make sound decisions, and lead others.
- Experience in intervening in crisis situations using sound
professional judgment, ethical practice and common sense.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings,
weekends and holidays.
- Ability to gather data and prepare documents for program grant
reporting.
- Knowledge and intermediate skills working with MS Word, Outlook
and an Intranet system.Mental and Physical Abilities: Duties are
usually performed seated with occasional periods of standing or
walking. Limited physical effort is required associated with
lifting and carrying objects (less than 25 lbs).Working Conditions:
Work may be performed but is not limited to an office
environment.Work Location: Work must be performed at the shelter
