About the Role:

As a Finance Governance Sr Director, you will assist VP Finance Operations Governance with developing and leading a newly created Finance Governance function within CBRE.

This job is part of the Finance Operations job function. They are responsible for supporting each segment and function globally through a centralized governance model for key financial reporting processes and procedures.

What You'll Do:

  • Proactively find opportunities to drive standardization in Finance processes, data and technologies through introduction of policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Drive definition, design, implementation and continuous improvement and monitoring of policies and procedures using innovative ways
  • Establish KPIs and monitor compliance with established policies and procedures
  • Manage stakeholders across various levels and parts of our finance organization, establishing trust and strong relationships
  • Collaborate with teams across Finance Operations to ensure alignment of global initiatives with our operating standards and policy requirements
  • Establish yourself as a leader with vision in all matters related to Governance of Finance Operations
  • Provide formal supervision to employees. Track the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Coordinate the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
  • Apply a robust knowledge of multiple subject areas, the business, and key drivers which impact departmental and cross-functional performance.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Persuade managers and other colleagues to take action while being guided by the organization's functional business plans. Negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers of divergent interests to reach a common goal.
  • Identify and solve multi-dimensional, complex, operational, and organizational problems using the appropriate resources within or outside the department.

    • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 12-15 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
    • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
    • Ability to lead the exchange of critical, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
    • Leadership skills to set, lead and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple departments results within a function.
    • Expert organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive attitude.
