About the Role
As a CBRE Purchasing Manager, you will lead a team responsible for
the purchasing operations, including purchasing, inventory,
selection of vendors, and distribution of finished goods.
This job is part of the Supply Chain function. They are responsible
for improving the efficiency of the organization's supply
chain.
What You'll Do
Provide formal supervision to employees. Supervise the training and
development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
Supervise the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work
schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff
and department target dates. Mentor and coach as needed.
Maintain relationships with Ventura/DXC for non-compliant invoices
and support referral resolution by developing solutions to reduce
the number and resolution time of referrals.
Own SOPs for all Purchasing tasks and manage the relationship with
the CBRE AP Team, support AP-related tasks performed by the
Purchasing Team.
Work closely with IT on Facility Link issues and development.
Lead Purchasing Office Hours and supervise facilities maintenance
training program.
Work with Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager on strategic materials
purchasing initiatives.
Help to create standardized systems and controls for
procurement.
Assist with the supplier certification process. This includes legal
and organizational structure, financial viability, geographic
coverage, and insurance requirements.
Coordinate the flow of materials and information among suppliers,
manufacturers, distributors, and customers.
Establish requirements and ensure the integrity of centralized
procurement database systems.
Serve as a point of contact for management and liaise with outside
procurement solutions.
Implement educational programs and train employees in procurement
procedures.
Develop procurement policies, procedures, and playbooks, while
improving and updating existing methods, processes, and
standards.
What You'll Need
Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3 - 5 years of relevant
experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and
education will be considered.
Requires solid understanding of negotiation of contracts, purchase
orders, etc.
Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training,
development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and
rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
Ability to guide the exchange of difficult information, convey
performance expectations and balance problems.
Leadership skills to empower team impact on quality, efficiency,
and effectiveness of the job field and department.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive
mentality.
Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures
such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related
calculations.

compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and
experience. The minimum salary for the Purchasing Manager position
is $100,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Purchasing
Manager position is $110,000 annually. The compensation that is
offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's
skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will
also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's
applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following
benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life
insurance, and Vision insurance.
