Job Title: Commercial Building Engineer

Location: Downtown Dallas, TX

Employment Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Property Manager/Chief Engineer

Salary : $70,000.00 annually ($33.65 per hour)

Healthcare or medical office building engineering experience preferred.

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Commercial Building Engineer to oversee the maintenance and operations of six medical office buildings in Allentown, PA. This role is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, ensuring optimal building performance and tenant satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, hands-on experience in building maintenance, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Commercial Building EngineerKey Responsibilities

  • HVAC Maintenance & Repair
    • Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including rooftop units, air handlers, chillers, and boilers.
    • Perform routine maintenance such as filter changes, belt replacements, and coil cleaning.
    • Monitor and adjust building automation systems (BAS) for optimal efficiency.
    • Plumbing Systems
      • Troubleshoot and repair leaks, clogs, and drainage issues.
      • Maintain and service pumps, water heaters, and other plumbing fixtures.
      • Ensure compliance with plumbing codes and health/safety regulations.
      • Electrical Systems
        • Inspect, repair, and maintain electrical components, including lighting, circuits, and panels.
        • Perform basic troubleshooting of power distribution and emergency backup systems.
        • Work with contractors on larger electrical projects as needed.
        • General Building Operations
          • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance across all six buildings.
          • Respond promptly to tenant service requests and emergency situations.
          • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and system performance.
          • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and other safety regulations.Qualifications & Experience
            • 5+ years of experience in commercial building maintenance or a related field.
            • Strong expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical troubleshooting.
            • Experience working in medical office buildings is a plus.
            • EPA 608 certification (preferred).
            • Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) and energy efficiency best practices.
            • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
            • Strong communication skills and customer service mindset.
            • Valid driver's license and ability to travel between buildings as needed.Physical Requirements
              • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
              • Capable of standing, walking, and performing manual labor for extended periods.Benefits

                  Pay Details: $68,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
