HSB Solomon Associates LLC (Solomon), a subsidiary of Hartford
Steam Boiler and MunichRe, is seeking candidates for a Senior
Upstream Advisor position to work in a dynamic, fast-paced business
environment. Solomon is the leading performance improvement company

countries, with global headquarters in Dallas and regional offices

strategic insight across the energy industry, leading to greater
efficiency, reliability, and profitability. Basic FunctionThe
Senior Advisor will be a core member of Solomon's Solutions
Delivery team focused on Solomon's global advisory business. This
position will be responsible for client engagement, project
management, benchmarking activities, maintaining technical
integrity of advisory projects for which they are responsible, and
for providing subject-matter expertise related to business
performance and operations in the area of Upstream production
operations. The Senior Advisor will directly contribute to the
success and profitability of Solomon's core businesses, where
engagements may be individual or in collaboration with other team
members.In this role, the candidate will work as a client-facing
advisor, an advisor to other client teams, and as a creative
problem-solver that enables client success. Solomon's engagements
cover a wide range of topics, from strategy to operational
improvements. The Senior Advisor will have rounded expertise in
multiple areas of onshore and offshore Upstream production
operations. This position is expected to become proficient in
Solomon's benchmarking methodologies and studies that, when
combined with industry experience, will develop a strong belief in
the benefits Solomon's unique approach provides to clients.Senior
Advisors are expected to lead and participate in Solomon advisory
engagements at client locations worldwide, with associated travel
(domestic and international) up to 25% of the time. This position
would be base in Solomon's Dallas or Houston offices. Applications

Delivers services, products, and
solutions and acts as a project manager for assigned projects or as
a subject matter expertDelivers benchmarking study results
presentation to clientsAnalyzes client data to determine
performance and works with clients to develop products and programs
to facilitate performance improvementReviews client data to improve
accuracy and consistency of data qualityClient Partner
Serves as client partner for assigned
client accounts and is the client relationship manager and trusted
technical advisor for Solomon services, studies, and productsWill
have several assigned clients, from an assigned Business Unit,
ranging from a single site through to multi-national major energy
companies with multiple assetsInternal Collaboration
Provides support to product
management teams, advises on customer feedback/satisfaction, and
introduces product development ideasCollaborates on product
development featuresResource Planning
Provides project management,
including resource and cost forecasting, using ERP system, resource
planning, and negotiation for resourcesEducationRequired:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
(Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Petroleum, or related
engineering field)Preferred:
Master's degree and/or advanced
professional degree preferred (e.g., MBA, PhD, etc.)Work
ExperienceRequired:
15+ years in the Upstream energy
industry. Energy Operator or consultancy experience are equally
valuableExperience should include at least four of the following
areas: operations management, production operations, facilities
engineering, maintenance, turnarounds, operations readiness,
operations continuous improvement, health and safety, operating
costs, well servicing, and supply chain managementPreferred:
Onshore and offshore production
operations experienceConventional and unconventional experienceSite
based technical or management operational rolesKnowledge &
SkillsRequired:
Demonstrated ability to translate
data and information into practical solutions and
recommendationsAbility to present and provide insightful analysis
up to and including the C Suite of multinational companies and
federal-level governmental agenciesWillingness and ability to
develop new advisory business, provide support to Business
Development Team, and ability to expand
services/solutionsDemonstrated ability to manage key project
workflows and overall coordination of projectsAbility to apply
Solomon methodologies as analysis tools to support recommended
improvement changes to a client's current operationsKnowledge of
engineering calculations and spreadsheet or database expert
userDelivery of high-quality work product using Solomon
