The primary function of this position is to provide SharePoint development and maintenance of a configuration management tool used across NASA. As the NASA Angular/SharePoint Developer (Solutions Developer Staff II) representing Aerospace on this NASA team, you'll be instrumental in leveraging Angular development in combination with SharePoint technology to enhance collaboration, streamline workflows, and facilitate knowledge management for critical space exploration initiatives within NASA.Work ModelThis is a full-time position based at Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX or Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, FL which requires 100% onsite work.What You'll Be Doing

• Assist in the configuration and data management efforts by providing development, evolution, and regular maintenance of Angular-based SharePoint tools used to manage data/products.
• Manage and understand the Change Management Workflow (CMW) and Meeting Hub tools within SharePoint and how it is used to conduct and process configuration management activities.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand technical requirements and design customized SharePoint solutions aligned with the goals and objectives of NASA, encompassing document management, task tracking, collaboration portals, and knowledge repositories.
• Configure and customize SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, workflows, and forms to optimize functionality, usability, and performance in support of programmatic needs and operational workflows.
• Implement user-friendly interfaces and intuitive navigation structures within SharePoint sites, ensuring ease of access to critical information and resources for team members involved in activities.
• Implement security measures and access controls within SharePoint environments to safeguard sensitive information and ensure compliance with NASA's cybersecurity policies, data protection regulations, and industry best practices.
• Provide training, guidance, and technical support to end-users and project teams on SharePoint usage, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques, fostering adoption and maximizing productivity across the program.
• Function as a liaison and integrator between engineering teams, technical data integrators, end users, scientists, and program management.
• Educate end users on availability, capability, and operation of tools.
• Effectively and respectfully communicate with managers and researchers across different disciplines and multiple contracts regarding data sets and reporting needs.
• Develop custom tools in SharePoint.
• Maintain and improve custom tools - complete feature requests from users, develop requirements for enhancements, maintain usability and performance.
• Provide technical expertise and perspective to configuration and data management processes.
• Provide development support to other custom Angular SharePoint projects for Moon to Mars Programs when needed.
• Update user support documentation.What You Need to be Successful - Solutions Developer Staff IIMinimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, mathematics, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with SharePoint development, configuration, and administration.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Angular development and UI/UX design.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint on-prem and SharePoint Online (Office 365).
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, site hierarchy, and security models.
  • Familiarity with web development languages for SharePoint customization:
    • Angular 17+, Git, Node.js
    • JavaScript/TypeScript, RESTful web services, HTML, CSS, JSON, SQL
    • SharePoint Administration Experience
    • SharePoint, Nintex workflow, and Data Structures Design/Development
    • Superior analytical, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills including effectively explaining concepts to managers and scientists.
    • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary setting.
    • Ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent tasks and provide direction on competing priorities.
    • This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.How You Can Stand OutIt would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
      • Experience with NASA or commercial human space flight programs.
      • Knowledge of NASA system engineering practices.
      • Experience adapting to evolving technologies and emerging trends in SharePoint development.
      • Master's degree in science, engineering, or mathematics.
      • Certification in SharePoint development or administration.
      • Extensive experience with SharePoint Designer, Power Automate, Power Apps, Nintex Forms, Nintex Workflows, and other SharePoint-related tools.
