Title: Athletic Trainer Position Type: Central Management Office

and potential inequities. Primary Purpose:The Athletic Trainer will
work with medical professionals and coaches to evaluate athletes'
condition, establish plans for diet, fitness, and treatment, and
track progress towards health and fitness goals. You should be
motivated to assist athletes, coaches, and families realize their
potential and possess a strong understanding of sports-related
injuries and treatments.To be a successful Athletic Trainer, you
should be committed to ensuring athletes accomplish their health
and fitness goals and receive the proper training and treatment.
You should be caring, knowledgeable, and passionate about the
success of your athletes. Duties/Responsibilities:Injury Prevention
and Assessment:Develop and implement training programs to minimize
injury risks.Evaluate athletes' physical conditions and identify
potential vulnerabilities.Conduct pre-participation physical
screenings.Injury Treatment and Rehabilitation:Provide immediate
care for injuries during practices and events.Develop and oversee
rehabilitation programs tailored to individual needs.Assist and
monitor injured players as they heal and progress towards
recovery.Utilize therapeutic techniques such as taping, bracing,
and equipment fitting.Collaboration and Communication:Maintain open
communication with coaches, family members, athletes, and medical
staff regarding health status and progress.Educate athletes on
proper techniques, nutrition, and wellness strategies.Coordinate
referrals to physicians or specialists as necessary.Administrative
Duties:Document injury reports, treatment plans, and rehabilitation
progress.Maintain records relating to athlete condition and
training and diet.Ensure compliance with organizational, state, and
national regulations.Manage inventory and maintenance of athletic
training supplies and equipment.Education, Experience, and/or
Certification(s)Education Requirements:Bachelor's degree in
Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or a related field (Master's
preferred).Experience Requirements: Three to five years of
experience as an Athletic Trainer in high school, collegiate,
professionalStrong understanding of sports-related injuries and
rehabilitation techniques.Special Skills/Certifications: Board of
Certification (BOC) certification for Athletic Trainers.State
licensure or eligibility for licensure in Texas.Current CPR, AED,
and First Aid certifications. Required
Skills/Abilities:Communication Skills: Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time-management
abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced
environment. Bilingual Skills: Spanish preferredTechnology: To
perform this job successfully, an individual should be competent in
Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel,
and Teams). Ability to use basic office equipment.Tools/Equipment
Used: Exercise equipment and devices including stationary bike,
pulleys, weights, whirlpool, paraffin bath, ultrasound equipment,
and cold packs; automated external defibrillator (AED) Posture:
Prolonged standing; frequent kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping,
pushing/pulling, and twistingMotion: Continual walking; moderate
reachingLifting: Frequently moderate lifting or carrying (15-44
pounds)Environment: Work outside (exposure to sun, heat, cold, and
inclement weather) and inside; exposure to noise; exposure to
biological hazards, bacteria, and communicable diseases; frequent
network wide travel.Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control
under stress; frequent prolonged and irregular hoursStarting
