employees.Summary:We are hiring Speech Pathologist Assistants for
our South Dallas, Duncanville, and Desoto, TX locations. As a
Speech Pathologist Assistant, you will work under the supervision
of a Licensed Speech Language Pathologist to provide coordinated
speech therapy assistance to patients of all age groups. This role
requires a Bachelors Degree in Speech Therapy and a passion for
helping individuals improve their communication skills.Essential
Job Functions:Administer speech therapy treatment plans developed
by the Speech Language Pathologist.Adhere to infection control
practices and standard precautions during patient care
activities.Accept clinical assignments that align with education
and competencies to care for patients.Utilize effective
communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with
patients and team members.Maintain continuing education
requirements to ensure professional growth and competency.Promote
compliance with fiscal intermediary and third-party payer
requirements through education and coaching.Perform other related
duties as necessary.Minimum Knowledge and Skills:Education and
Experience: Bachelors Degree in Speech Therapy. One year of
experience as a Speech Therapy Assistant in an acute care or
rehabilitation setting. Pediatric and Home Health experience
preferred.Certifications: Current Texas State License to practice
speech therapy.Other Skills: I have strong therapy skills based on
the Therapy Practice Act and other regulatory standards and good
interpersonal communication skills.Other Requirements: Ability to
travel as needed.Physical Requirements:Heavy work, including
exerting up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and
