Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Perinatal Department at CHRISTUS Health. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex care to patients in the Labor and Delivery Department, utilizing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each patient.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
• Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and document patient history, symptoms, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers, promoting health literacy and empowerment.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.Requirements
  • 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty, preferably in a Perinatal setting.
  • Perinatal RN Residency or recent experience in a Perinatal setting is preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
  • BLS certification required; RN License in state of employment or compact; Current certification from NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or AWHONN courses.Work Schedule7PM - 7AMWork TypeFull Time
