London.OverviewThe Managing Director will support the Asset
Management Team and understands the importance of engaging and
empowering a team of highly talented technical and professional
Analysts, Associates and Vice Presidents. This role is an agile
team player who works cross-functionally with different parts of
the organization.The MD will have great interpersonal skills to
help manage, mentor, and organize a team on their deals. The
candidate will ideally have held similar positions in asset
management or acquisitions with a specific focus in Industrial
Assets. This individual will use their strong understanding of the
fund-level metrics to help drive decision-making at the asset
level. They will be the leading communicator directly with clients
and ensure timely completion of deliverables. The MD will grow and
mentor their analysts, associates and vice presidents. They will be
an entrepreneur and contribute strategies to improve processes and
procedures on both the deal level, and Bellwether corporate
level.Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the proactive monitoring and hands-on asset
management of a portfolio of real estate equity and debt
investments throughout the U.S. consisting of stabilized, value-add
and ground-up development projects;
- Review and analyze business plans, construction budgets and
schedules, property-operating performance and capital improvement
projects;
- Review and monitor marketing and sales activity;
- Liaison with operating partners and leading members of the
Client(s) to review business plan execution and drive
asset/portfolio performance;
- Develop and maintain detailed asset-level cash flow
reforecasting models;
- Guide asset management team in the maintenance of detailed
models to monitor the performance of investments;
- Structure and implement various sensitivity analyses and stress
tests at the deal-level to help guide clients in challenging
strategic decisions;
- Work cohesively with the Bellwether construction management
team, partners and applicable third parties;
- Underwrite a variety of asset classes using Excel-based
underwriting models, including complex cash flow, budget, IRR and
fund/partnership waterfall modeling;
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities and effective
management skills, with a desire to manage, mentor and develop team
members.
- People Management Responsibilities
- Involved with staff selection, interviewing and training as
needed;
- Oversee the day-to-day workload and performance of direct
reports, providing clear direction and support as needed to achieve
work objectives;
- Ensure that direct reports understand their duties and
delegated tasks;
- Monitor performance and development of direct reports and
provide constructive and timely feedback and coaching;
- Work with direct reports to set individual goals and deadlines
and conduct regular performance reviews aligned with performance
review process;
- Handle discipline of employees in accordance with company
policy.Professional Experience
- A minimum of 12 years' related experience
- A minimum of 7 years' management experience
- Similar positions in asset management, acquisitions or
development of commercial industrial assets preferred
- Industry experience yielding strong relationships and global
understanding of investment dynamics and deal
processesEducation/Certification

- Job Knowledge & Technical Ability: Asset management experience,
including development and analysis of real estate-based financial
models, underwriting, valuations and discounted cash flows. Ability
to read and analyze Loan documents, lease and management
agreements. Have a strong understanding of macro-trends that could
potentially impact investment-level decisions. Have strong reviewer
skills when looking at Excel-based underwriting models, including
complex cash flow, budget, IRR and fund/partnership waterfall
modeling.

- Local and/or nationwide travel to assets and client sites
required on an as-needed basis, approximately 1-2 times per month
