Employment Type: Contract - W2

Rate: $50/hr on W2

Relocation: Required (Day One Onsite)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team at DFW Airport. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), network security, and SD-WAN technologies. This is a day-one onsite role in Dallas, TX, requiring the candidate to relocate if not already based in the area.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure to ensure high availability and security.

Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls including Cisco, Palo Alto (NGFW), CheckPoint, Juniper, Fortinet, and Zscaler.

Deploy and support SD-WAN solutions for optimizing network performance.

Work with TCP/IP protocols, BGP, and OSI Model to troubleshoot complex network issues.

Implement and manage Web Application Firewalls (WAFs) for enhanced security.

Administer VPN solutions for remote access and secure connectivity.

Monitor network traffic and security logs, identifying and mitigating threats.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support enterprise network security and connectivity needs.

Required Skills & Experience:

Strong expertise in NGFW technologies - Palo Alto, Cisco Firewalls, Checkpoint, Juniper, Fortinet, and Zscaler.

Experience in network protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, and OSI Model.

Hands-on experience with SD-WAN deployment and management.

Solid knowledge of WAFs and VPN solutions for securing web applications and remote access.

Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and optimize performance.

Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications such as CCNP, PCNSE, JNCIS, or equivalent are a plus.

Experience working in an enterprise or airport/transportation network environment.

Familiarity with cloud security and hybrid network architectures is an advantage.

Work Environment:

Onsite role at DFW Airport (Dallas, TX) - Relocation required.
