to hear from you.The US Oncology Network has an immediate need of a
qualified candidate for the role of Sr. Regional Finance Director
to join the Financial Operations team. This is a full-time
position, reporting to the Vice President of Finance
Operations.This role will support the Network's largest practice,
Texas Oncology, in advising senior management and physician
partners on the financial activities, operations, and strategic
priorities for over $5B of annual revenue. This role has a
significant operational finance component with responsibility for
providing strategic analysis and effective reporting in partnership
with senior leadership to implement targeted growth strategies in
support of achievement of the long-range plan. This position will
have direct oversight of financial results of Texas Oncology, in
addition to leading the robust finance and accounting teams that
support this expansive practice. This position is also responsible
for the practice's FP&A and controller functions including the
management, preparation and control of the unit's budgets and
forecasts with the aid of all financial operations staff. This role
will also provide exposure to multiple components of health care
such as Revenue Cycle and Managed Care.Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a team of Practice Controllers and Finance
teams providing mentorship, guidance, and career development
opportunities.
- Physician and Practice Engagement - Regularly engage with
Physicians and Practice Leadership to communicate financial results
and provide strategic financial support. Actively participate in
Practice Board meetings as well as collaborate with Physician,
Practice and Operations Leadership to prepare and present financial
analysis and materials.
- Financial Planning & Analysis-- Lead monthly
reporting/analytics function for leadership, work closely with key
business leaders to manage forecasting & budgeting processes,
partners with practices and management in execution of initiatives
to improve the financial performance of Texas Oncology.
- Key Performance Indicators-- Develop methodologies and
approaches to ensure key internal performance indicators are
incorporated and monitored as the lead for decision support tool
development.
- Capital Expenditures-- Supports capital expenditure process
including new project analysis and ongoing forecasting of regional
capital spend.
- Financial Management and Oversight--Conducts timely, thorough
analysis of practice financial results, including focus on such
indicators as discounts, expense analysis/control and related
impact and receivables aging. Responsible for approval of practice
operating expense spend, financial statement account
reconciliations, and internal controls.
- Business Development-- Supports specific development activities
including local/regional product line analysis, projections
relating to additional physician recruitment, and on-going
acquisitions.
- Other duties as assignedMinimum RequirementDegree or equivalent
experience. Typically requires 13+ years of professional experience
and 6+ years of diversified leadership, planning, communication,
organization, and people motivation skills (or equivalent
experience).Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field
- Master's degree and/or CPA preferredCritical Skills
- Manage and lead a geographically diverse team.
- Must be able to successfully collaborate with key stakeholders
across functional areas. They will need to be a problem solver,
persistent, and goal oriented.
- Self-starting multi-tasker, with strong organization skills.
Strong analytical/quantitative skills. Strong customer service and
presentation skills.
- 7 years-experience in Financial Analysis, Valuations,
Controllership or similar rolesAdditional Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior management
- MS Office--Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Customer-facing skillsPreferred
- 5 years in Healthcare Services; Prior work experience in cancer
care and/or hospital administration would be helpful to working
with US Oncology's practices; however other multi-site healthcare
experiences, such as renal care, outpatient surgery or
multi-specialty care are also attractive.Salary: 154,700.00 -
206,300.00 - 257,900.00 USD Annual (25% MIP)M5Travel 25%We are
