Job Description:
Duties: Responsible for translating the vision for divisional
initiatives into business solutions as a member of the Fidelity Pricing and
Cash Management Services (FPCMS) business unit. Serve as technical
lead to provide solutions for the non-production environment arena. The
solutions will revolve around platform automation, test automation, and
data and service virtualization. Will work closely with developers, test
engineers, business teams and architects to provide the technical
leadership necessary for non-production environments. Will drive the platform
automation framework and test data management activities for back-office
mutual fund operations. Primary Responsibilities: • Design and develop platform automation solutions which align
with the company’s compute strategy. • Develop original and creative technical solutions for
on-going development efforts using Java, Oracle PL/SQL and Informatica,
and provide solutions for creating test data management frameworks. • Evangelize and create competency in service
virtualization. • Provide technical leadership for the Integrated Test
environment team. • Provide automation solutions for large scale projects from an
end- to-end perspective, including front end, middle tier services
and back end data providers. • Determine development approaches and strategies and ensure conformance to established Fidelity standards. • Develop frameworks which promote: maintainability,
flexibility, extensibility and scalability. • Provide governance for the non-prod infrastructure. • Conduct studies of alternatives, and analyze and recommend
changes in application level architecture development, procedures,
standards, and strategies. • Hold tactical responsibility for completion and implementation
of multiple major development initiatives. • Advise on risk assessment and strategies. • Develop comprehensive technical documentation. • Responsible for meeting on-time and on-budget project goals
and continually improving quality of development team
deliverables. • Provide guidance and training to enable other team members
to meet/exceed expectations, and plan and coordinate project
schedules. • Ensure code reviews, unit testing and integration testing
is completed efficiently and effectively. • Actively collaborate with other technical leaders on the team
to develop, deploy and monitor team-wide project and technical
standards and best practices. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics or a closely related field and five (5)
years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience
in architecture, design and development of applications for
back-office mutual fund operations, using distributed technologies and compute
strategy; or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent)
in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics or a closely related field and three (3)
years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience
in architecture, design and development of applications for
back-office mutual fund operations, using distributed technologies and compute
strategy. Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”)
developing distributed applications using Java, Oracle PL/SQL, Informatica,
Shell scripting and conducting Control-M scheduling on a Unix/Windows
platform; DE designing and developing nonproduction environments using
PaaS, Automation, and Virtualization techniques -- Delphix; DE
providing technical guidance and oversight for large development
initiatives including systems architecture and infrastructure, impact
analysis, technical design, development, implementation and support; and
providing technical guidance to distributed application development teams
within an onshore/offshore environment according to Agile methodologies;
DE in data modeling and data analysis; and design of enterprise wide data
